You will be able to upgrade back up to the latest jesusfreke's modded firmware. RC33. Google that.

OTA upgrades will be disabled automatically during the process so as not to kill your root. Again use jesusfrekes latest modded firmware (he releases very quickly after T-mobile do and if you want to talk to him regarding this, he is normally in the chat room - use the link on the home page of this site, he's very approachable, and very clever!)

For the guys having trouble with the 404 errors, try adding the following lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
Code:

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian lenny main contrib non-free deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian lenny main contrib non-free
Save the file, and then run this command:
Code:

# apt-get update
You should then be able to apt-get the VNC server without the 404 errors. =========================== I am having a problem of my own though. I do not see a desktop when I connect using VNCviewer. I see the generic X cursor and blank desktop, but no panels, buttons, etc. Any idea what's up with that?

I any one having a problem with the Debian shell shutting down once you try to switch to VNC? I've been having this problem lately. I successfully installed everything the first time. I t ran smoothly the first day but now once i start the debian shell and switch to VNC I got the grey screen with the X cursor. When switch back to the terminal it has completely restarted. Then when i run the script again it starts but I have this error right after the penguin:

mount: mounting /dev/block/loop2 on /data/local/mnt failed: Device or resource busy

I stuck on this one. Could it be the android system automatically closing the terminal due to low memory? Any suggestion?
